OUTLINE

Tilton House offers the ideal environment to restore and rejuvenate your whole being. The natural surroundings, comfortable spaces and delicious nutritious food create a deep sense of nurture and rest.

The yoga is designed to be appropriate for each individual on the retreat, so if you have any aches, pains or injuries, you’ll be taken care of. Taking a retreat offers you an opportunity to go within and listen to your body’s needs. Often, we need to let go of busy-ness, striving and tension. However, range of movement, strength and body awareness are also important aspects of creating a sense of freedom and ease within our bodies and minds. You don’t have to be young, female, skinny or super fit to benefit from yoga practices, they work their magic on everyone! J

The design of individual yoga classes depends on who comes along. However, expect to learn some of the following: yoga for self care of your back and joints; yoga for stress reduction; yoga for insomnia; breath practices; finding centre - finding balance; a look at how we walk, stand and sit.

Evening yoga can take the form of yoga nidra, soundbath, restorative yoga, yin yoga or gentle yoga to prepare for sleep.
