Join us for four days of complete immersion in the real lives of the Bloomsbury set, in the South Downs home of Maynard Keynes and Lydia Lopokova. This unique retreat at Tilton House offers a rare opportunity to sleep, eat, breathe, explore, discover and grow exactly as the Bloomsbury set did, in the only Bloomsbury house to offer a residential escape. Walk in their footsteps over the Downs, sleep in their bedrooms, talk until the small hours in their fireside library, and feast on food from their recipe books in the same kitchen that hosted countless candlelit gatherings.
A tr uly unique experience offering you the chance to evoke a sense of place through floral design, of capturing the essence of a painter's garden in June and a sense of the surrounding environment.
Covering our approach to floral design including materials, mechanics, form, colour, texture and composition, we will teach attendees how to create a wild, romantic centrepiece cascading with garden roses, seasonal flowers and foraged branches in a bespoke ceramic vessel. A professional photographer will capture atmospheric images of our creations and surroundings throughout the day.
"How can we bring total clarity to our work and lives, so that everything becomes natural, creative and free?"
Three days in the downs with Charles Davies and Max St John, learning to be who you are and do the work that's yours, in effortless collaboration.
