Creative Writing and Yoga retreat with Chris Difford and Sevda Mustafa Prices from £499



Join us for a unique and inspiring four-day retreat that combines creative song writing with Chris Difford and yoga with Sevda Mustafa in the beautiful South Downs.
The retreat will use the power of yoga to open up the flow of creativity and imagination and focus it onto the practice of creative songwriting.  
Following an invigorating yoga class with Sevda in the morning, you’ll spend a day of inspiration and experimentation in songwriting workshops with Chris. Each day will finish with a relaxing yoga class, followed by an evening where you’re free to enjoy the beautiful environment of Tilton house.




Chris Difford is a rare breed. As a member of one of London’s best-loved bands, the Squeeze co-founder has made a lasting contribution to English music with hits such as ‘Cool For Cats’, ‘Up The Junction’, ‘Labelled With Love’, ‘Hourglass’ and ‘Tempted’. Despite the fact that Chris has helped soundtrack so many fans’ lives since his first release in 1977, the passion for innovation and love of playing still drives him to carry on writing rather than sit back and admire his handiwork. Chris recently celebrated his 60th birthday and for 41 of those years he has been writing with Glenn Tilbrook, very much the Odd Couple. When Squeeze take a break from the road, Glenn and Chris have been touring their ‘At Odds Couple Tour’ both in the UK and the US.
Chris hosts writing workshops and has done so for over 25 years. In 2014 he formed a partnership with ‘The Buddy Holly Foundation’ to run a week of writing at Pennard House Glastonbury. Other writing events include Guardian Master Classes held in London and smaller events at The Rathfinney Wine Estate in East Sussex.

This will be his second writing retreat at Tilton House.



Sevda Mustafa has been studying yoga for over 20 years.  She is a respected teacher who is influenced by Iyengar, Hatha and Astanga yoga, and is known for her down to earth, attentive and inspiring teaching style.

Her practice and teaching style has been influenced with the input of many amazing teachers including Godfrey Devereux, Zoe Knott, Bob Insley and Maarten Varmaase. She has been teaching in London for many years and also specialises in teaching on retreats around the world. She has taught in India, Turkey, Crete, Egypt and throughout the UK.

Sevda teaches with an open heart and encourages students in their practice. She works with strength in postures and encourages a deeper practice through breath awareness and mindfulness. She believes in making the body strong so we can go inwards to find the true self by working through our blockages, which can manifest in stiffness within the body.     

Sevda is very respectful of each student's individual needs with
their yoga practice.  Both beginners and advanced students will be welcome and supported.


We have limited spaces on this retreat. A deposit of £150 will secure you a place.

From £499 all inclusive full board... food will be vegetarian but we can be flexible, please make us aware of your dietary requirements.


Monday 7th

3pm          arrive at Tilton house

4pm          meet and greet

5.30pm      yoga

7.30pm      dinner

Tuesday /Wednesday 8th-9th

7.30am      Yoga with Sevda, will be a little more dynamic in the morning. Focusing on really   grounding from your feet so you have a solid foundation. Sevda will be adjusting the class according tothe group, but expect a vinyasa flow type yoga, with static poses so you can deepen your awareness leaving you feeling grounded, energised and inspired….

9.30am     breakfast

11am        A session with Chris Difford. Chris will be working with the groups needs, novices are welcome. This retreat is put together, to allow people to be creative using writing. Chris will use all his knowledge of songwriting to inspire!

 1pm        lunch

2.30pm     Back with Chris for another session.

5.30pm      Yoga in the evening will be more restorative with yoga nidra.

7.30pm      Dinner


Thursday 10th

7.30am      Yoga

9.30am      Breakfast

11am           Free time

1pm           Lunch

2pm          Return home
