Barefoot & Wild at Heart: A Bank Holiday Retreat with Sheila Bennett SOLD OUT

This long weekend offers a retreat in the truest sense of the word. Tucked away in the beautiful English countryside you’ll be surrounded by a quiet calm and a sense that time itself has slowed down to make your stay last longer. Completely free to do what appeals to you in the moment, whether you choose to join your fellow guests, or take time alone to relax and reflect, you can do, or not do, whatever your heart desires.

  • Create the ‘you’ time you need and deserve so you can truly relax and de-stress from the demands of every day life.
  • Enjoy healthy, delicious meals that will increase your energy and health, without having to do all the work.
  • Step out of your day to day routine and replace old habits with conscious new choices
  • Deepen your yoga practice and fall in love with it all over again.
  • Spend quality time with like-minded people, surrounding yourself with those who bring out the best in you.

You'll practice in our very own yoga yurt, hidden away in the magical grounds. If the afternoons prove sunny and dry, we may move out onto the lawn and enjoy the fresh air while we stretch, breathe and flow.

Morning sessions start with meditation, before moving into delicious sequences to strengthen your body, awaken your core and light you up for the day ahead.

Afternoon sessions will be much more relaxed, unwinding underlying tension in your body and soothing your nervous system. Immersing yourself in this twice-daily regular practice is a sure-fire way to experience the benefits of yoga and explore what the practice can bring you.

Delicious chef-prepared vegetarian meals will punctuate each day, keeping you nourished and well-fed. Home grown, fresh seasonal produce from the kitchen garden is used as much as possible in the menu and even the drinking water comes from a spring on the Downs. You'll feel your energy increase and your whole body lighten as you fill up on nutritional goodness.

The in-house chefdoes such incredible work that you’ll have difficulty believing you’re eating wholesome plant-based food. I admit we’ve double-checked on more than one occasion when it just seemed too good to be true!

Over the years we've tweaked and toyed with how your stay unfolds, and finally landed on the perfect balance for a weekend retreat. The times may vary a little, and the weather may influence your choices, but here's in idea of what the weekend will look like - punctuated by yoga classes and delicious meals, with your time as your own, to do as much or as little as you like.

"What an amazing weekend. I had such a wonderful time. I went on Sheila's autumn retreat for some restorative time away from the demands of work and family, and to deepen my yoga practice.

Tilton House oozes history and beauty but also has a relaxed and friendly vibe. Sheila’s teaching was a wonderfully natural blend of mind and body which suited me perfectly.  Since the retreat I have a sense of yoga being a part of who I am in daily practice, rather than just 'doing yoga' at classes, which has been an important shift for me. I'm looking forward to going again!"

Thanks for such an inspiring weekend! I so enjoyed it and got so much energy.

" After juggling full-time work and two kids under four, I desperately needed some 'me' time to relax and unwind (and not just fall into bed exhausted each night). I've been to a few yoga retreats before, but my weekend with Sheila at Tilton House was the best experience I've had. The setting was beautiful, and doing yoga in a yurt with wonderful people was magical. Finally, the food was AMAZING! I returned home after the retreat, relaxed and fully recharged. I am so grateful to have attended the yoga retreat. It was such an inspiring weekend."
