OUTLINE:-
We have shifted, we’re learning about carving time out. The commitment required to pause from our distractions and dive into space to offer ourselves the nourishment of listening. Conscious breathing; conscious thought; conscious movement.
This retreat will be a space to learn new ways and techniques in nature to focus ourselves for the New Year. We’'ll be offering gentle stretching with yoga, deep breathing meditations, hiking the wonderous Downland (we’ll be walking this landscape in which we live) eating mood boosting delicious food and listening to talks and coaching from wellness advisors.
The reason to take our aerobic workout into nature is that it will not only lift our spirits and reduce levels of the natural stress hormones, but will increase overall blood flow and will provide our minds with fresh energy and oxygen, which then raises our serotonin levels….. accordingly to a recent study in the Journal of Physical Therapy science
We are so disconnected from nature, how can we ever relate to our environmental issues and fully commit to sustainability? If we can’t connect or relate to nature, what chance do we have of saving it; including ourselves.
